InstaFriday is all about taking pictures with your cell phone. It is catching the everyday happenings that may mean nothing to others, but to you, they are special moments. For those of you who catch up with me here, you know that I am blessed with a daughter and a son. Both of them are in the throws of their early teenage years. I love and adore them both. Some days are grueling with drama, attitude, and hormones, but sprinkled throughout those moments are laughter, joy, and love.
My son is currently growing up too fast for my liking. He has always been my cuddler. He would grab for my hand if we were out walking, he would give me a kiss goodbye as he went to school. Now I am not always his favorite person, so I treasure the small moments that he gives me.
One evening, we were watching a movie on television, and my boy reached up and held my hand during the movie. I couldn't resist snapping a shot!
My boy is also having to shave. Not enough for a razor and shaving cream, but enough for his father's electric razor. MY SON IS SHAVING!!! I am so not ready for this.
I also had the great surprise when I went grocery shopping of finding Dark Chocolate Dreams at Dominick's!! I have been looking all over for this product for months and no one carried it. I was even contemplating purchasing it online because of all of the online reviews that I have seen. Can you go wrong with Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter? I think not!! I got myself a jar and OH MY Goodness!! It is all the hype and more. Spread on a bagel, in my overnight oats, spread on apple slices... the list goes on and on. I highly recommend!!
My final photo is one that I took on the way to work. I know, I know, I shouldn't be using my phone while driving, but I couldn't let this pass my by...literally. This flat bed truck had a cover on it with the following Bible verses printed on it. I wanted to take the picture so that I could look them up when I got to work.
Deut. 8: 17-18-
17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Ps. 28:7-
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
What a great way to start my day!
